Well, these past few months I have been into several places here in my country. One of which I have been dying to visit is Nasugbu, Batangas beach. Hi Guys! Sharing with you this video test shot I did using Canon 600d.

Well, this is my second attempt in checking out the video aspect of Canon 600D. When I was shooting this, I am not yet that used to a lot of stuff about this camera since I was a Nikon user then when I switched to Canon recently. I did this video so at to familiarize myself on how to focus objects to objects, what to press, etc. Learning it was not that hard at all. Btw, this is an amateur test shot.

Wondering what good base to use for your face before applying any makeup on? I suggest Collagen Moistfull Essence In-Base from Etude House. I have been using this for months now and so far, considering how sensitive my skin was, I haven’t had any bad reaction towards this unlike with other base or primer I have used back then I think this comes in 2 types (not really sure on that) but  mine is #2 Shimmer Essence.

Mine has this shimmer effect when used. It gives you this fresh/vibrant look. Even though it moisturizes your face, I still recommend you using this during summer when your face could get too oily since based from my experience and comparing it with other primer/based I used, it doesn’t wear off and make you look haggard or your face messed up at all after sweating much or being exposed under the heat or after having this on your face for hours already,

I also love this because when I used this with my concealer, it doesn’t give me a plain finish. I mean, since it gives you this shimmer effect, your face looks lively and not dull. It also makes you look younger

I also like how this smells. Some primer doesn’t have smell at all while some with the smell of the solution/s, chemical, etc.

Lastly, I like how it makes me feel like I’m not wearing anything at all. It’s very lightweight. Doesn’t itch also.

So below I’d show you the difference:

1.) First apply a pint amount of this (actually I should have used a much smaller amount than this. Because this amount could actually be used in my whole right cheeks)

2.) Then I’ll spread it only in the right part of my hand so later we can compare the finish of w/ and w/o this:

3.) Now you can already see the shimmer effect it has

4.) Whoala! Sorry I should have used my dslr so I could have shown you more how fresh the part where we put the shimmer base on compared to the part that doesn’t have anything at all. Basically primers are colorless. These were used to help mix and flatten out your makeup. But this gives you not just those but also more of a TWANG finish

Phew! It took me a long time before I can write again.. Why? been so busy with a lot of stuff. Like? Selling my Nikon D3000 and upgrading to Canon 600D! Yay!

Before I bought it, I was torn between Nikon D90,Nikon D5100, Nikon D7000, and Canon 600D. Why over these DSLRS? Video, these days had been much of a concern for alot of users including me so I’d like to buy my next dslr which has video capabilities like these dslrs. After reading tons of forums, reviews, etc Canon 600D won my heart. *love love love* I would also like to shift brands since my first DSLR was Nikon so I would like to experience using Canon with my succeeding projects. Well, I am writing this not to deeply compare these DSLRS  (technically) but basically from my point of view— which has more subtle and less technical approach.

Well, I like Nikon D90 because of the number of people using it and for their great reviews. I didn’t choose it because its video feature needs a lot of improvement. I like D5100 and D90 because the price suits my price range ( among the entry levels of Nikon – D3000, D3100, D5000, D5100, D90, D7000). I Can afford D7000 but I realized that I haven’t maximized the use of my D3000 before I sold it so why jump that drastic right? So then I was torn between D90 and D5100. I chose D5100 over D90 because of it’s video quality. I have longed to be a videographer too so I would want my next dslr to also be useful in taking great videos. So I chose D5100 over D90 since D5100 produces great shots too. I was about to buy D5100 with an AF 70mm-300 mm lens however, while I was reading a forum about D5100 it says that D3000, D3100, D5000, and D51000 are only compatible with “AS” lenses and not with “AF” lenses. I got really upset since I a so excited and determined to partner it with an AF 700mm-300mm lens. Then I came across this section about Canon DSLRS. And there I found D600 often compared to D7000. After much thought and reading tons of comparisons about the two, I CHOSE 600D Well aside from the mp advantage of 600D over D7000 of Nikon (18 mp vs 16 mp), I also found 600D’s video much alluring and its photos sharper than that of D7000. So these comparison helped me from choosing between my ideal D5100 and Canon 600D. Even though D5100 is cheaper than Canon 600D,  I still went for Canon Sooo, there I got so busy shooting these past few days.. Next month I’ll buy new lens and external flash. Tripod and a reflector I’d buy this week..

Below is the mini kit I bought yesterday. I already placed some of my stuff inside (I just started collecting makeups last month so most of my stuff fits just fine in this kit  below):

I travel a lot so it’s nice to have a handy kit like this So below you’d see the inside of the outer pocket. Inside are: 3 container locks and 3 pockets for other stuff.

When you open the kit, inside are two other zipped pockets. One with a plastic cover and the other one was netted.

So as you can see in the above picture, I have there a small pouch that I bought separately from this. That is for my brushes — pouch

This pouch I bought with the same color as my bag so they’ll match. :p Well my brushes aren’t that fancy yet. I only have the basic ones for personal use as you can see below

So enough with the brushes and going back to the bag.. So inside has this hook that is attached to it so if you feel like making use of this not as a bag but as a container perhaps then you can hang it in places possible and let it open for easy access to your personal belongings or perhaps in my case — with my makeups

Last August 1, 2011 I decided to switch to Sun since they have this offer of Unlimited Call and Text to any Sun Cellular numbers for a month for Php450.00 only. Well actually, my boyfriend and I decided to switch to Sun — first is for that matter — costs cheaper than of Globe Telecom’s Unlimited Call and Text deal (our former mobile network). Actually it wasn’t the COST that primarily made us switch. It was of AVAILING the service of Globe’s unlimited call and text (second disappointment — Globe Telecom’s Unlimited Call and Text Service). FOR PREPAID users, they only allow us to have unlimited call and texts for Php150 for 7 days at max (or Php 25 for 1 day). THAT’S NOT THE PROBLEM. Actually that’s fine since the line is pretty clear and steady compared to that HORRENDOUS line Sun Cellular Network offers.  Well, the issue with Globe’s unlimited call and text service is with the registration. They only allow a certain number of users to avail it. You can’t always avail this service and that SUCKS. Sometimes, when I tried to register — I’ll end up receiving a message saying that I can’t avail the service at that time due to the large number of users already registered to use the service. So I’d try to register at different times up to the point that due to the number of tries I made — my number got blocked for a day to send messages to 8888 — which is where we’d send a text message with the keyword on it to register to avail the service. So I’d end up with nothing .  There came that time when I was able to register and when it’s nearing its end, I’d get very anxious to the point that I’d get this feeling to register  again as soon as my registration ends so that I’d get the spot back. Like WTF? WHY DO I HAVE TO FEEL LIKE IT? Like where’s the sense of security or assurance we’ve all been looking from a mobile service provider like GLOBE? WTF again? Like, I’m a Globe user too? I’m supposed to be their customer too right? So why can’t I avail the service inteded for ME TOO? They said that they are the biggest mobile service provider in the coutry and they still aim to fish more customers to use their network. So if they think they are the biggest mobile service provider then they should have anticipated a large bulk of users who would avail to this unlimited call and text service they have. Or better yet they should stop fishing for more customers and focus in improving their CUSTOMRER RETENTION PROGRAM perhaps? It also annoys me that GLOBE lets their CUSTOMERS play the GAME OF CHANCE. Which is a NO NO. It just got me thinking that HEY THEY ARE RIGHT! They TREAT US LIKE THIS HUNGRY PACK OF WOLVES READY TO DIVE IN TO THAT ONE LAST PIECE OF MEAT AVAILABLE. Well, being registered to their unlicall and text service isn’t that great too (well it wasn’t a problem but it wasn’t great either) when you’re registered to that service, per call it’ll only last for 12 minutes and they’d cut off the line so you need to do another call that would last for 12 mins again. Well, at first it lasts for 30 mins I think (not sure). Then they lowered the number of talk time minutes up to 15. Then they cut it off again to 12. The line was flawless and the number of talktime minutes has never been an issue for me but it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t  great too (just sharing). The real issue is with the REGISTRATION and that (not sure but this is what I know) you can avail their Php600 unlimited call and text for a month only if you are a postpaid user. Well I’m a prepaid user so I can only avail Php150 call and text unlimited for 7 days at max. (I AM TALKING ABOUT THEIR UNLIMITED CALL AND TEXT service which I ROOT FOR). With a registartion and service like that of Globe’s? I was forced to switch to Sun Cellular Network who offers Php450 unlimited call and text to any Sun users for a month and which is avail to prepaid users like I do and which I can AVAIL and USE anytime of the day w/o hassel like that of Globe’s. REGISTRATION to avail Sun’s Php450 per month (or Php 150 per month for unlimited texts plus 4 hours of call per month) unlimited call and text plus 50 Php worth of regular load that came from that package WAS FLAWLESS. BUUUUTT —- THEIR LINE SUCKS! I mean, WTH?? I can’t even understand a single thing that the person on the other line was talking about!! Even him said that my line chops almost ALL THE TIME. My boyfriend and I even got into several heated arguments DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT. So lame but it’s the reality. Even when the signal was good — the line still SUCKS! You’ve got to be very creative whenever talking to someone like be on the same spot everytime you’d make a call (which sometimes works, sometimes not) and sometimes really gets uncomfortable like you have to be standing up the whole time. Usually I’m on the phone for hours. I also travel a lot and is on different locations most of the time and Sun’s signal SUCKS. LIKE SUN COME ON? I’m just within Metro Manila and that your service sucks like this hell already? Like Come on?? I know it’s cheap but hey the quality of service is not there! Can you at least IMPROVE IT like BIG TIME? Even your text messaging sucks. My messages came in delayed not ALL THE time but often. You know? It just got me thinking that Sun is making us all believe that they can handle all the requests but in reality THEY CAN’T! These whole thing is for PORTABILITY purposes but it’s either I can’t be reached due to SUN’s poor signal or that I was reached but I CAN’T BE HEARD. POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE I should say. I’m glad I didn’t avail their postpaid deals or else I’d get stuck with them for years!

Now I’m torn between these: Is it QUALITY over QUANTITY (with complications) or QUANTITY over QUALITY (with complications)??? Let me rephrase it…  Is it GLOBE’s UNLIMITED CALL AND TEXT (with complications) or IS IT SUN’S UNLIMITED CALL AND TEXT (with complications)?? I’ve had bad experiences with both so which is which?

This is where my  programmer side instinct kicks in (I wish I pursued this field. Well I’ll do someday). Im also surprised since only a few of us got this one right — way back then. What’s a screencast?

It is where the activities you have with your desktop’s being recorded and usually accompanied by audio narration. Sometimes, those who don’t have mic available tend to write the things they want to share through let us say Wordpad and they show it in the screen.

These cupcakes were from Cielin’s Cakehouse in  BF Homes Paranaque, Manila,  Philippines. They also do cakes, breads, and other pastries (Banana Carrot Muffin, Cream Puff, etc).

Sad part, they don’t do birthday cakes and they only deliver with a minimum order of Php2,500.
